Newman Power Station (Newman) is a 105MW Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) power station located adjacent to the Newman mining township in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The plant currently provides 100% of the power requirement of the isolated grid which supplies electricity to the Mt Newman Joint Venture. The Joint Venture is the sole customer of the power station under power purchase agreements that run until 2014
