Babcock & Brown Power Management Pty Limited (BBPM), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Babcock & Brown group provides management services to both BBPS and BBPL under long term Management Agreements. In discharging its responsibility under the Management Agreements BBPM has drawn from the skills and resources of Babcock & Brown and has put together a cohesive, outcome-oriented management team for Babcock & Brown Power which combines strong financial market expertise with the operational experience to manage and oversee major capital assets effectively. Just as importantly, it is a team with the ability and experience to work with all key stakeholders, including customers, government, operators and our host communities to negotiate acceptable outcomes for all parties.

Paul Simshauser, Chief Executive Officer
Mr Simshauser is the Chief Executive Officer of BBP. Mr Simshauser joined Babcock & Brown in September 2006. Prior to his appointment, Mr Simshauser was the Chief Executive Officer of NewGen Power, the joint venture between Babcock & Brown and the ERM Group, and was responsible for NewGen's interests in Braemar and NewGen Kwinana. Before joining NewGen, Mr Simshauser was General Manager, Marketing & Trading, at Stanwell Corporation, following a range of positions in corporate finance within the electricity supply industry in Queensland.
Mr Simshauser has a Bachelor of Economics and a PhD in Economics from the University of Queensland, and graduated from Griffith University's Business School with a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), and is Adjunct Professor of Finance at Griffith University.
Brian Green, Chief Operating Officer
Mr Green is the Chief Operating Officer of BBP. Mr Green joined Babcock & Brown in 2006. Prior to his appointment Mr Green was General Manager of Operations for NRG Australia and had responsibility for providing oversight and management of NRG's plant operations in Australia. Previously, Mr Green was the General Manager of Gladstone Power Station.
Mr Green has been involved in the electricity industry for more than 32 years, with the last 25 years specialising in the operation and maintenance of power stations and the management of employee relations. Mr Green has experience and qualifications in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Business.
James Brown, Chief Financial Officer
Mr Brown is Chief Financial Officer of BBP. Mr Brown joined Babcock & Brown in 2006. He has extensive experience as a senior finance manager in listed and multinational companies and has taken leadership roles in negotiating and implementing acquisitions and business reorganisations. Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Mr Brown was Chief Financial Officer at Foodland Associated Limited. Previously, Mr Brown was employed as Chief Financial Officer at GE Commercial. He has also worked in finance roles at Colonial Limited and National Australia Bank.
Mr Brown holds a Bachelor of Business and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of CPAs.
